The FMA in Nigeria
The Daughters of Mary Help of Christians arrived in Nigeria only a year ago. On the advice of the Archbishop of Lagos, Monsignor Martins Alfred, they chose to set up their very first mission in Ikorodu, a rapidly expanding district located about 20 km from Lagos.
The small community is made up of 3 sisters namely Sr. Jacqueline George, from Liberia; Sr. Justine Egbedike, from Nigeria and Sr Dieudonne Jean Louis, from Haiti.
For the moment, we are staying in a rented house not too far from the St. Augustine’s Parish where we offer our availability for pastoral activities including the accompaniment of groups of young people and children while waiting to begin an educational work to respond to the enormous educational and training needs of Nigerian youths.
