Our Project

It is the construction of a semi-open, ventilated space, intended to accommodate children, young people and even adults for moments of formation, catechesis, prayers, games, sharing and celebrations.

This hut can hold up to 50 people seated. Since we do not yet have a space to gather children, it will be very useful for us to carry out our mission as educators and evangelizers.

The project was funded by the CANARIA MAIN FOUNDATION of Spain for an amount of approximately 20,000 Euros. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

The Water Tower

This project consists of the construction of a water tower fed by a borehole intended to supply the entire site with water and also to distribute drinking water to the people of our neighborhood who do not have access to it. Taps will be installed outside the property accessible to everyone.

This project is ongoing and is almost completed. It is financed by FASTENAKTION, Diocese of St Pölten in Austria for the amount of 21000 euros and BOSCO GLOBAL search for funds to finalize it. With inflation in Nigeria Naira and the update of the project, the cost has changed. We are grateful to them.

Short-Term Vocational Training And A Host House

This project has just started. This involves the implementation of vocational training in modules of 2 months in two or three levels depending on the training for young needy girls and boys, mainly girls. After each module, a certificate will be given to them. The training courses offered are: Pastry, Computer Science and Interior Design.

To carry out this project, we rented a house and arranged it to adapt it to the needs of the Centre.  Quality equipment has been installed to provide young people with dignified training.

The Centre operates three times a week from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is also recognized by the Ministry of Education.

This project is financed by private Austrian Organization and benefactors.

Linked to this project is the construction of a three-story building whose ground floor is intended for the educational staff( the Sisters). The two other floors will accommodate some girls who desire to acquire skills in our Center but have difficulties in having accommodation.

The construction is at the initial stage. We are appealing for help for people of good will  in order to finalize this project.

It is financed by different Austrian Organizations and benefactors and by the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. The total amount is N 215,710,697 or 470,000 euros.

The Oratorio

This is the first Salesian Work set up by Don Bosco, our Founder. It is an educational space for children. It is made up of activities of all kinds: Games, learning manual activities, music, sports and specific educational moments. The courtyard and some parts of the Professional Center is used to accommodate children. We have filled it with many games to attract children: tennis table, table football, swings, slide, educational and electronic games.

The Oratorio operates every Saturday from 3pm to 5pm.

This project was financed by private benefactors and Don Bosco Missio from Austria for an amount of about 5000 euros.

It will be established in Omowo Kekeri Ijede Road,a poor and marginalized neighborhood of Ikorodu. It is a developing area with around 8,208 people.

Our project consists of the construction of a Nursery and Primary School and a Technical and Vocational School. The latter proposes to support young people from the area and elsewhere to have a job in order to integrate them into the market of employment. The three major sectors that we intend to offer them through this Technical School are: Haute Couture (Design and Fashion), food professions (Catering) and New Technologies. These major streams will include options that will allow young people to make choices appropriate to their needs and the needs of the market.

Short courses will also be offered, always with the aim of meeting the employment and poverty needs of young people.

The project will be executed in several phases:

1- The acquisition of land. The FMA committed, during the month of August 2020, an amount of 75,000 Euros for the purchase of one and a half hectares. This phase is about to be completed with the final steps of acquiring the Land title from the government.

2- Studies and plans.

a. A survey plan was made as well as a layout plan of the land. On the ground plan we can notice: the residence of the Sisters, the nursery and primary school, the technical and professional school, the multipurpose hall and the play areas. An empty space is left for the future expansion of the work.

 b. We want to launch the architectural and structural studies of buildings. This is the phase of the project that we are in.
